TECHNICAL ACTIVITIES OF THE ERASMUS+ KA2 PROJECT FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF VOCATIONAL EDUCATION SUPPORTED BY THE TURKISH NATIONAL AGENCY CONTINUES

 

VET R&D Technical Visit and Collaboration Meeting was held at Kartepe Fevziye Tezcan MTAL on 23 June 2020 as part of the technical studies of the Vocational High Schools Learning R&D and Innovation project with Virtual Reality (2019-1-TR01-KA202-074723). The project, carried out by the Karamürsel District Directorate of National Education using European Union resources to improve education in vocational high schools, continues by taking the necessary precautions despite the COVID 19 pandemic process. Within the scope of the project, activities to increase the employability of our graduates in local, regional, national and international businesses operating in different industrial sectors in Kocaeli will continue for 31 months. It is aimed to develop vocational education both at the European level and through the use of the latest practices in educational technologies. With the project carried out by a consortium formed with partners from 7 European countries under the coordination of Karamürsel District MEM, the project contributes to the goal of providing vocational education to young people at the European level.

Dr. Adnan SONDAŞ, Lecturer Yavuz Selim FATİHOĞLU, Faculty of Aeronautics and Space Sciences, Associate Professor Satim ÜRGÜN, Karamürsel District National Education Director Murat ÇAKIR and Project Coordinator Deniz ÇİÇEK; Fevziye Tezcan MTAL Manager Murat PALA, Assistant Manager were participated in. At the VET R&D Technical Visit and Collaboration Meeting hosted by Hakan GELES and Motor Vehicles Technology Teacher Mesut ÖZER, the current projects, targets and possible collaborations of institutions on virtual reality were evaluated. The local activity of our project, which is carried out with the aim of solving the problems experienced in vocational education with the use of educational technologies and virtual reality and increasing the employment of graduates, studies on the use of developing technology, ongoing scientific research on virtual reality applications at Kocaeli University, Karamürsel District National Education Directorate and Fevziye Tezcan MTAL. projects were introduced. After the meeting, where information was exchanged on good practice examples in virtual reality and new networks were created, the Virtual Reality Laboratory and CNC simulators created within the scope of the MARKA supported TEMAS project were examined and the contributions of the projects to the development of vocational education were discussed.
